Wells Fargo Everyday Checking bonus requirements

Wells Fargo's public Everyday Checking offer, read on 22 September 2026, pays $325 when a new checking customer opens with the offer code by 13 October 2026 and receives $1,000 or more in qualifying electronic deposits within 90 calendar days of account opening. The deposit must post. Transfers, mobile deposits, Zelle, and branch or ATM deposits do not count. Early Pay Day does not count while the credit is still pending.
Wells Fargo's checklist is short, and two of the lines are easy to skip: the offer code, and the word posted.
Open with the code, by the expiry
To receive the $325 bonus you must use the bonus offer code when you open a new Wells Fargo consumer checking account, subject to approval, by 13 October 2026. 1 The public page we read is the Everyday Checking path for a new checking customer. 1 Opening a checking account with no code, or after that date, is a different application. How to read a bank bonus offer puts the expiry on line 8 for this reason: it is the open-by date, not the qualify-by date.
The deposit test
You must receive $1,000 or more in qualifying electronic deposits within 90 calendar days of account opening. 1 A qualifying electronic deposit is a deposit of funds, such as salary, a government benefit payment, or other income, that has posted, and that arrives as one of three things. 1
- A direct deposit through the ACH network.
- An instant payment through the RTP network or FedNow.
- An electronic credit from a third party that pays your debit card on the Visa or Mastercard network, which the terms call an Original Credit Transaction.
Transfers from one account to another, mobile deposits, Zelle, and deposits made at a branch or ATM are not qualifying electronic deposits. 1 What counts as a direct deposit compares that list with Chase, which does not name the same three rails.
Pending is not posted
An ACH direct deposit made available early with Early Pay Day does not count until it posts and is no longer pending. 1 If your window ends while the credit is still an early-availability memo, the bonus math has not started. Pending or posted is the rule to apply before you call the deposit done.
Fee waivers that are not the bonus
The Everyday Checking page lists ways to avoid the monthly service fee, including $500 or more in qualifying electronic deposits, a minimum daily balance, a primary owner age 17 to 24, and a qualifying monthly non-civilian military direct deposit in the Worldwide Military Banking program. 2 Those lines can make the account cheaper. They do not, on that page, replace the bonus offer's $1,000 test. 1 A student or military reader should copy both pages. Student accounts and bank bonus offers separates age rules from bonus rules.
After the deposits post
The offer we read requires the qualifying deposits to post inside the 90 calendar days. 1 Keep the account open at least through the payout attempt, and read any early-close or reversal sentence before you close. The sequence is in can you close a bank account after the bonus. Log the opening date, not the enrollment guess, in the bank bonus tracker.
Common questions
Does Wells Fargo count a pending Early Pay Day deposit?
Not until it posts. The offer says an ACH direct deposit made available early with Early Pay Day does not count toward the bonus until it posts and is no longer pending, for example on the scheduled payment date.
Is the age 17 to 24 fee waiver the bonus?
No. On the Everyday Checking account page, a primary owner age 17 to 24 is one way to avoid the monthly service fee. The $325 bonus is a separate offer with its own deposit test. Meeting the fee waiver does not replace the $1,000 qualifying deposits.
Do I have to be a new checking customer?
The offer page is addressed to a new checking customer and tells you to open a new consumer checking account with the bonus offer code. If you already hold a Wells Fargo consumer checking account, do not assume this page applies. Ask the bank which offer, if any, you can enroll in.
